September 2009 – Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Anteil, Inc. is proud to announce the Central Penn Open Source Conference 2009. The one day conference, to be held on Saturday, October 17th at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, will kick off at 8 am.
The CPOSC (pronounced “see-posk”) was created by Eric Andreychek, Lon Farenwald, and John Mulligan. The idea behind CPOSC is to provide a time and place where people can gain and share knowledge about Open Source software.
Once again, this year Anteil will be a major sponsor of CPOSC. Anteil has been developing software solutions in Unix since 1983 and helping their clients leverage the value of Open Source Software Solutions since 1994.

January 2009 – Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Anteil, Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of a three-year software project for La-Z-Boy Chair Company. A centralized inventory control system was created to manage their company-owned stores and warehouses throughout the country, incorporating all aspects of retail logistics, from Inventory Control and Warehousing, through Point-of-Sale, Delivery, and Post-Sales Service.
The system tracks their product from warehouse to home, streamlines their financial reporting processes and minimize the amount of inventory needed to service its retail stores. This system was developed entirely using open source software tools and technologies, allowing Anteil to save La-Z-Boy hundreds of thousands of dollars in licensing costs and provide a level of reliability equal to their mainframe systems.
La-Z-Boy chair company first introduced the recliner in 1928. Central Penn Multi List, Inc. provides the multiple listing service for Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties, allowing real estate agents to share data and assist them in the marketing of their real estate listings.
The process of creating this website began in February of 2008, with Anteil working closely with CPML Board of Directors President Chuck Gilmore, and Executive Vice President Robbin Crossley, and concluded with the website going live on September 1st, 2008.

Over a dozen speakers will be present to address Open Source Software: Javascript, automated testing, penetration testing, system administration, virtualization, and more. 2008’s event will be the 2nd annual conference for this region.
